If you have any stories to
tell about your time as a staff member or passenger and would like to
share them, please let me know

. It is most important that there is a place we can store Ansett photos
and stories for others to see. |

We have added an article
on the
Kyeema Air
Crash. The DC-2, VH-UYC departed Parafield airport just
before midday on 25th October 1938 for Essendon. After the
enquiry into this accident, there were big changes made in Australian
Aviation safety standards, the fate of the Civil Aviation Board was also
sealed at this time when, as a result of the enquiry, it became the
Department of Civil Aviation. Thanks must go to the Civil Aviation
Safety Authority and MacArthur Job for giving permission to use this
article. (‘Flight Safety Australia, November 1998)

Our thanks to all who attended the Ansett Reunion in Adelaide on
Saturday 10th September 2011. The event enjoyed by 480 was a
phenomenal success. The only complaint was it should have been a few
hours longer. |

Helena Steel has just released a book
'After Ansett – Careers of Strength and Spirit'.
As one of the senior Human Resources executives, Helena had the
unenviable job of creating a call centre of 30 Ansett staff to
handle the calls of 17,000 employees. This book is a must read for
all former employees of Ansett and anyone contemplating a career
change or going through a redundancy.
